A new pelt for art reference? Huzzah !

I found a really cheap listing for a coyote pelt on Etsy. After a few weeks of saving up some cash I bought it ! He's not the greatest pelt (has a few minor holes in his legs) but he's very nice for under $100.

I've become quite the fan of soft mount taxidermy after purchasing my wolf Jynx. So I decided I want to get a coyote and a fox to add to my collection. I'll get this fellow mounted whenever funds allow, but for now he'll chill on my dresser with Jynx.

On a side note, this seems to be a pretty large yote. Jynx is about 62 inches long from nose to tail and the coyote is around 56 inches. Even with mounting, He'll probably be around 45-50 inches long with his tail.

I shall take some better pictures later, but I'm way too excited right now XD!

I'm not sure what I'm going to name him yet. I'm thinking along the lines of Comet or Rocket. I probably won't settle on a name until he's mounted.

I did NOT kill this coyote. The previous owner found him dead on the side of the road and tanned him to preserve his beauty. Please refrain from leaving rude comments.
