Lost in the world

Lost in the world
No hope left
Traps are everywhere
The same trap
But it gets me every time
It runs in a cycle
It lives in plain sight
But we are all blind
And so we never see it
We live in this world alone
We hope to find the gap
So that we can fill it
But some of our gaps are like black holes
We put something in
And it never fills the void
Why are my friends
Blind to this matter?
My tears will no longer come.
For they have left with the butterflies.
I love all the people I’m around
Some more then others
And some less
But I do not wish to stop loving someone
Just because of unknown reasons
I care for him
But he only cares for himself
Just like the caterpillar
I won’t let my heart die again
Although the sweet sanctuary promised
Seems like the best place to be
Within this madness
I wish to find something to lock on to
And never let go of
But all things come and go
Whether we wish it or not
And so we try to follow
And follow it we do
All the way to the ends of the earth
But then we realize that we lost sight of it long ago
We look at our surroundings
They are different
We begin to wander aimlessly
For we are once again lost in the world.
